If you ring the surgery number when it is closed you will hear a recorded message giving you details on how to contact the on call doctor - please listen to the message in full and follow the instructions. This service is for emergencies only and if your problem will wait until the surgery is next open then you will be advised to do so.

111 is an NHS free number which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will speak to a trained advisor who will ask you a series of questions and will then direct you to the best medical support. 111 should be used when you need urgent medical advice or advice on where it is appropriate to go, but the situation is not life-threating.

The surgery is part of the Newham GP Co-op who provide out-of-hours services.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

999 is a free number which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It should be called in a medical emergency – when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk
